A series of changes in legislation since 1988 has greatly improved protection for Landlords and Tenants. Investment funding has become more readily available and as a result the lettings market in the UK today is as important as the sales market in terms of supply of housing and revenue. With an ever-more international and mobile business community, it often makes sense for people to rent rather than to buy. On the other side of the coin, rental returns have been such that property has proved to be an attractive investment for owners over the past 20 years or so, often out-performing other asset classes.
As with sales, we can access almost all properties in central London currently available, both our own direct listings as well as other agents rental stock (we co-operate with our competitors on a fee-sharing basis.) For landlords we are able to offer a full property management service not only aiming to minimise void periods and optimise rents, but also to assist the client in ensuring all new regulations are observed along with the renewal of certificates, inventory checks, maintenance and payment of outgoings.
