James Taylor Property Consultants offer a highly personal, client-led service in the fields of residential sales, residential lettings and property management in central London.

Based just two minutes’ walk from Marble Arch, we cover prime areas such as Mayfair, Belgravia, Knightsbridge, St James’s, Marylebone, Notting Hill, Holland Park, Chelsea and South Kensington. We have extensive and thorough knowledge of our marketplace with nearly 40 years of combined experience as between the Sales and Lettings partners and we enjoy excellent relations with a great many of the “key players” in the residential property industry including other leading agents, developers, surveyors, lawyers, designers and search/relocation agents.

We pride ourselves on a high standard of presentation and if instructed to market a property, no matter what value, we will produce a smart brochure with floor plans and we will ensure that the property is widely advertised in various print mediums (including the national and local press) as well as on key property internet portals www.primelocation.com and www.findaproperty.com. In addition we are accredited subscribers to www.lonres.com an inter-agent commission-sharing platform, which allows all other leading agents to know about our properties (and vice-versa.)

We will provide initial advice on the preparation of the property prior to marketing and we can arrange for a Home Information Pack (HIP) to be supplied, and for rental properties Energy Performance, Gas & Electricity certificates as required by law.

We describe ourselves as being consultants rather than selling agents. We’ve discovered that buyers prefer to be guided rather than coerced, and sellers wish to be advised rather than browbeaten. Integrity is our watchword and our highly-valued and ever-growing client base is testament to this.

JAMES TAYLOR

Following a period as an Army officer, James entered the property industry in 1984 as a sales negotiator for a well known international property partnership. In 1986 he set up a residential development business and completed some 20 residential schemes. Subsequently, he was offered a partnership of Egerton, a high-end niche estate agency with offices in Chelsea, Mayfair and Marylebone, where he remained until its sale to a larger national practice in 2002. James Taylor Property Consultants was established in 2008. James lives in Earls Court and Oxfordshire and counts art, wine and travel amongst his interests.

MATTHEW HARRISON

Matthew is Australian by birth and arrived in London in the late 1990’s where he established himself quickly as a lettings specialist working initially in a small agency in South Kensington. He then climbed the ranks at a large plc (the now privately owned Countrywide Group) where he oversaw the creation and management of circa 1500 tenancies in prime central London locations and enjoyed managing their highest grossing retail office. Here Matthew advised clients on all aspects of residential property asset management including portfolio construction. Matthew’s personal interests include travelling, photography and cooking (The River Café!).

NICO VALDES-SCOTT

After taking a Business degree at Bristol University, Nico remained there and was employed by a well established family run firm with a large market share in both sales and lettings. In 2003 he relocated to London and worked for the well known national estate agency, Jackson-Stops and Staff for four years. During that time he was involved in a number of multi million pound transactions. Nico’s personal interests include travel, architecture and sport (River Plate).
